How to Die Cut Half Hexagon Shapes:
For best cutting results, position fabric on the lengthwise grain (straight of grain) as it goes under the roller.
- 1" Sided Half Hexagon: Cut a 2 3/4" strip across
the width of fabric. Fanfold into 2 1/2" widths. Place on selected blade
and cut. Cut 32 half hexagons across the width of fabric. One yard of
40" wide fabric cuts 416 half hexagons.
- 1 1/2" Sided Half Hexagon: Cut a 3 3/4" strip
across the width of fabric. Fanfold into 3 1/2" widths. Place on
selected blade and cut. Cut 22 half hexagons across the width of fabric.
One yard of 40" wide fabric cuts 198 half hexagons.
- 2 1/2" Sided Half Hexagon: Cut a 5 1/2" strip
across the width of fabric. Fanfold into 5 1/2" widths. Place on
selected blade and cut. Cut 14 half hexagons across the width of fabric.
One yard of 40" wide fabric cuts 84 half hexagons.
