The shipped EQ8 retail box contains a software download license. There
is no CD, DVD or USB. There is a License ID and Password found in the
package. This information will allow you to download the software from
the EQ website. You will select either PC or Mac at the time of the
download. The package also contains a 48-page booklet with complete
instructions on how to claim the download on our site, installation,
activation, a starter lesson, quick tips and tools reference.
The License Card is your only option, as The Electric Quilt Company cannot sell downloadable
products to you due to VAT laws in the European Union. The License Card
is a retail box containing a license ID, password and complete
instructions for downloading EQ8 for either PC or Mac.
(Keep that in mind if you consider ordering from the USA, where high shipping costs are added and you pay VAT to your tax office when the order enters your the EU. That means you will pay a lot more for ordering directly at "The Electric Quilt Company".)
Minimum System Requirements:
Windows 10, Windows 8.1, or Windows 7 with Service Pack 1;
macOS High Sierra (10.13), Sierra (10.12), El Capitan (10.11), Yosemite (10.10);
If you want to run EQ8 on BOTH platforms, you must purchase the
Migration Kit to get the installation files for the second platform.
This option is coming in 2018.
Internet Access Required
Internet access required for downloading, activating, periodic
validation and accessing the support materials. You can be disconnected
from the internet for general use of the software.
Activation
Unlimited installations. Two (2) computers may be simultaneously active.
Activations can be easily transferred between computers.
Space Requirements
850 MB of available hard-disk space for installation; additional free space required during installation.
Recommended
Screen resolution of 1280 x 1024 or greater. (A Minimum of 1024 x 768 is required.)
